The Joint Expert Panel (JEP) was set up to examine the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS).
The JEP was tasked with agreeing key principles to underpin the future approach of the University and College Union (UCU) and Universities UK (UUK) to the USS valuation. The Panel comprised senior figures from the pensions sector as well as academic experts from within higher education and was chaired by Joanne Segars OBE.
It published two reports, in September 2018 and December 2019.
